Wondrous Encounters: Scripture for Lent, Richard Rohr

Richard Rohr has a new book of Scriptural reflections to be used during lent.  He says that in the course of writing these reflections almost all of the major themes of Scripture, as he understands it, have found their way into this book.  He doesn't present them as daily meditations, but as a lenten-based encounter with the Bible itself.  Not so much information as an experience of transformation.

He begins each meditation with a single title or phrase that sums up the point.  "A little bit of God's wisdom goes a long way."  He uses THE MESSAGE translation primarily.  Then he offers a "starter prayer".  This starter prayer is just that and then it is our turn to put our meditations into own words.  I think he offers a good aid for our lenten practice.
